The Heschel Center and the Dutch Embassy in Israel are hosting the Dutch organization Except for the first workshop of its kind in Israel, presenting the innovative model "SiD - Symbiosis in Development."

About Except

Since 1999, Except: Integrated Sustainability has mentored dozens of companies and local authorities in creating systemic sustainability strategies. Over time, the organization has developed the SiD model, which combines a unique approach to sustainability, systems thinking and a set of tools for analyzing systems, together with a structured process for crafting a strategic action plan for promoting sustainability in the activities of the organization or company.

About the Workshop

During the three days of the workshop, we will become familiar with the sustainability approach of Except and the SiD work model.

Become part of a small, high-quality group (10-14 participants) to learn this unique framing of systemic sustainability for organizations, how it creates long-term successes, and how the SiD model helps actualize it.

In this hands-on workshop we will learn practical tools for systems analysis and for formulating an effective intervention strategy. Participants will work on their own concrete real-life case studies, integrating various dimensions of sustainability, including: circularity, ethics, systems thinking and resilience.

Who is the Workshop For?

Directors in companies, and other commercial and industrial organizations, leading officials in local authorities and public institutions, organizational consultants, business owners, and others who are interested in strategically guiding their system in a sustainable direction. The workshop will be facilitated in English.
