Hi,
Apologies for not having written for a while, but it's a combination of summer being slow and at the same time being inundated with work (a good thing, no?). Anyway, a couple of English language articles for the start of the school year, both from the Jerusalem Post:
The first reflects the impact we've had on environmental education over the last 10 years - the education ministry has decided this year to focus on green issues in schools and, unlike in 1994 (also a "green school year") this time it will not exist in a vacuum but, thanks to the Green Network, will be founded on a solid base of schools, teachers and students who are leading the adoption of sustainability as a guiding principle in education. We have already adapted to these developments by focusing this year more on how to work with the ministry and the institutional framework (including at our recent educational conference). Interestingly, the article also focuses on the Arab and Haredi sectors - as followers of our programs will know, the Green Network has a large Arab section and has recently begun work with Haredi and Beduin communities. Here's the link to the article:

This is an article on another project, initially set up through our incubator system and established with guidance and assistance from the Heschel Center. Senior staffer Eran Ben Yemini, who is quoted in the article, travels each year to assist with the first month of the program. A number of graduates (Noga Yitzhaki, Lior Messing) have joined the Heschel Center staff:
